Hello again!
Any current student can tell you that this semester FLEW by. It’s hell week, finals are around the corner, kids are hopped up on caffeine and adderal.
I just wanted to take a break and welcome the new class of 2016 dukes!
On a personal note, I have to stick in a plug for my org. New dukes, if you want to be a part of one of the biggest, most influential student orgs, apply to be a senator or rep! You can even run for freshman class office to be part of class council which puts on events and acts as a voting member of senate. If it doesn’t sound like your thing, go find your place! There are do many ways to do it, just be involved!
Vote!
It’s minor election time which means its time for me to shamelessly plug the people I support. If you’re in the class of 2015, vote Lauren Holder for president, Rachel Francis for secretary, and write in Rachel Fisher for treasurer! Thank you all so much.
i know i’ve been a terrible blogger lately. this time of year is ridiculous.
for the new dukes that have yet to experience a “hell week”, here’s an example (my current week and future deadlines):
- art project turned in this morning
- exam tomorrow morning
- quiz tomorrow afternoon
- paper due next wednesday
- research paper due in two weeks
- final (non art) project due in a month
- final art project due in a month
- and smatterings of homework assignements and readings and daily activities.
edit: im not posting this to complain, im posting it as a warning to the class of 2016 and as a reason for my absence.
Spring Break 2012 is ending…
…which means we get to go home!
My favorite studying music! Explosions in the Sky plays instrumental music, its extremely relaxing, and there are no words to distract your mind. I would recommend listening to them while you cram for the pre-break midterms.
